About Paddy Considine

Paddy Considine plays King Viserys I Targaryen in House of the Dragon. Viserys wants agreement from a family that gives him very little reason to expect it. Considine makes his affection, avoidance and authority sit uncomfortably together; a decision can be understandable as a father's choice and disastrous as a ruler's.

His television credits include Father John Hughes in Peaky Blinders, Claude Bolton in The Outsider, Peter Hunter in Red Riding and Kevin Harrigan in MobLand. He also starred in Dead Man's Shoes and wrote and directed Tyrannosaur. Viserys is one of the clearest examples of how much feeling he can bring to an apparently reserved character.
