The story behind TheAttReviews and why we do what we do
TheAttReviews is an independent TV show review site built on one simple idea: you deserve honest opinions before you invest dozens of hours into a series. We cut through the noise of sponsored reviews, algorithm-driven recommendations, and social media hype to tell you whether a show is actually worth your time.
Every review on this site is based on a complete watch (often a rewatch) of the show in question. We don’t review pilots and extrapolate, and we don’t rely on press kits. If a show has six seasons, we watched all six before writing a word about it.
There are more TV shows being produced today than at any point in history, and most of them are not worth your time. Our mission is to help you spend your limited viewing hours on the shows that actually deliver — the ones with compelling storytelling, memorable characters, and the kind of quality that holds up on a second watch.
We also believe in transparency about the cultural direction of modern television. Our Woke Rating scale gives you an honest heads-up about political messaging so you can make informed choices about what you watch, regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum.
At the time of writing, over 220 TV shows have been watched, rated, and ranked on this site. That’s thousands of hours of actual viewing — not skimming Wikipedia summaries or watching compilation clips. Every rating in our ELO-based ranking system is backed by a complete viewing of the show.
We have no advertising relationships with studios, streaming platforms, or networks. No show gets a higher ranking because someone paid for it. The rankings are driven entirely by our ELO rating methodology — head-to-head comparisons that produce an honest pecking order.

A software developer by trade and a lifelong television enthusiast, The Att has been watching and analysing TV shows for over two decades. From the golden age of HBO dramas through the streaming explosion, he has watched his way through crime sagas, sci-fi epics, political thrillers, comedies, and everything in between. TheAttReviews was founded to put all of that viewing into one place with an honest, data-driven ranking system that cuts through the noise.
When not watching TV or writing reviews, he builds the site itself — TheAttReviews is a custom-built platform using modern web technologies, because why use a template when you can build exactly what you want?
