Kevin Sussman

Kevin Sussman plays comic-book shop owner Stuart Bloom in The Big Bang Theory. His hesitant delivery gives Stuart a recognisable rhythm: an attempt to join in, a pause, and the growing possibility that he has made the exchange more awkward. Sussman makes that discomfort funny without needing to dominate the room.

Before Stuart, he played Walter in Ugly Betty. His later dramatic work includes Mark Roessler in The Dropout and Mr. Lingk in Better Call Saul. Smaller appearances include The Sopranos and My Name Is Earl.

His film work includes Burn After Reading and Taking Woodstock, and he has developed television comedy projects with fellow Big Bang Theory actor John Ross Bowie. Stuart remains an especially good example of how much Sussman can do with a subdued reaction.
