Michael Chiklis

About Michael Chiklis
Michael Chiklis plays Vic Mackey in The Shield, a performance that earned him the Emmy for lead actor in a drama series. Mackey is forceful and quick-thinking, but Chiklis also makes him persuasive. The character's ability to explain himself is part of the danger.
Before The Shield, Chiklis led The Commish as Tony Scali. His later work includes Ben Grimm in the Fantastic Four films and Dell Toledo in the “Freak Show” season of American Horror Story.
The change from an approachable television policeman to Mackey is striking, but the performance is more than a physical transformation. Chiklis can let you understand why another person follows Vic's lead without making that decision seem wise.
