Jamie-Lynn Sigler

Jamie-Lynn Sigler plays Meadow Soprano in The Sopranos, Tony and Carmela's daughter. Meadow is intelligent, argumentative and quite capable of identifying contradictions in her parents' behaviour. Sigler makes the family exchanges feel familiar even when the circumstances behind them are anything but ordinary.

Her performance develops with the character across the series, but its starting point is already useful: Meadow has a life and opinions of her own rather than existing only to give Tony another problem. Sigler also appeared as herself in Entourage. In The Sopranos, her work with Edie Falco and James Gandolfini helps make the household feel lived in, not merely a backdrop to the crime story.
