Edi Gathegi

Edi Gathegi plays Ronald Dacey in StartUp. Ronald is more than the criminal connection in a technology story. Gathegi makes him a person with responsibilities, intelligence and a strong sense of what a proposed deal will cost the people around him.

His television career includes Dr. Jeffrey Cole in House, Matias Solomon in The Blacklist, Jacobee in Into the Badlands and Dev Ayesa in For All Mankind.

On film, he played Laurent in Twilight, Darwin in X-Men: First Class and Mister Terrific in Superman (2025). StartUp offers a particularly substantial part: Gathegi can make Ronald forceful without losing his capacity to listen, think and change the terms of a conversation.
