Miles Teller

Miles Teller plays producer Albert S. Ruddy in The Offer. He gives the role enough confidence to make Ruddy's persistence plausible without removing the sense that the next conversation could leave him out of his depth.

Teller's film work includes The Spectacular Now, Whiplash and Top Gun: Maverick. On television, he plays Martin Jones in Too Old to Die Young, a much more withdrawn presence than The Offer's busy producer.

The contrast is useful. Ruddy needs to keep talking, persuading and finding another way around an obstacle. Teller makes the effort visible while leaving room for the humour in a man trying to sound as though he has a plan. He also serves as an executive producer on The Offer.
