Giacomo Ferrara

About Giacomo Ferrara
Giacomo Ferrara plays Spadino in Suburra: Blood on Rome. His energy is immediately distinctive, but the performance has more to it than flamboyance. The way Spadino behaves changes with the company he is in, and Ferrara makes those adjustments feel necessary rather than decorative.
Ferrara appeared in Stefano Sollima's Suburra film before playing Spadino in the Netflix series. He later returned to the character in Suburræterna.
His scenes with Alessandro Borghi are central to the appeal of Blood on Rome. There is enough unpredictability between the two men to make an apparently straightforward conversation interesting. Ferrara can be funny, defensive and attentive in quick succession without losing the thread of what Spadino wants from the encounter.
