Eamonn Walker

About Eamonn Walker
Eamonn Walker gives Kareem Saïd an imposing presence in Oz. Saïd's convictions influence how he speaks and carries himself, but Walker also makes the effort behind that self-control visible. The character's authority is interesting because it can be tested, not because the series treats it as unquestionable.
Before Oz, Walker worked extensively in British television, including In Sickness and in Health and The Bill. He later played John Othello opposite Christopher Eccleston in the modern television adaptation of Othello and became widely familiar as Wallace Boden in Chicago Fire.
His films include Unbreakable, Tears of the Sun and Lord of War. Across those different settings, his voice and stillness are considerable assets. In Oz they help him hold a scene against characters who are far more eager to fill it with noise.
