Daniel Kaluuya

Daniel Kaluuya plays Bing in Fifteen Million Merits, one of the early episodes that established Black Mirror as much more than a collection of technology warnings. Bing's quiet frustration gives its enclosed, screen-filled world a human centre. Kaluuya does not need constant dialogue to make the boredom and resentment legible.

His television work includes Posh Kenneth in Skins, for which he also wrote, and Mac in The Fades. He went on to leading film roles in Get Out, Judas and the Black Messiah and Nope. The range is considerable, but that ability to hold attention while appearing to do very little was already evident in Black Mirror.
