Asia Kate Dillon

Asia Kate Dillon is an American actor known for Taylor Mason in Billions, Brandy Epps in Orange Is the New Black and the Adjudicator in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

Taylor Mason

Taylor brings an unusually precise manner to Axe Capital. In a room where people often advertise their confidence, Dillon makes concentration and economy of speech feel like a different source of authority.

The performance is most interesting when Taylor has to observe the social business surrounding the financial business. A technically sound answer is not always the answer a room wants to hear. Dillon can register that distinction without giving Taylor the same habits as everyone else.

That restraint creates a useful contrast with David Costabile's Wags and Damian Lewis's Axe. Taylor can change the direction of an exchange without trying to win it through volume or a more elaborate cultural reference.

Stage and screen

Dillon trained through the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the Meisner programme at the Actors Workshop of Ithaca. Their theatre work includes Lucifer in The Mysteries at the Flea Theater and Malcolm in the 2022 Broadway production of Macbeth, directed by Sam Gold.

Before Billions, Dillon appeared as Brandy Epps in Orange Is the New Black. The role is a very different use of their screen presence from Taylor's controlled, analytical manner.

In John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Dillon played the Adjudicator, bringing a formal authority to a world more often governed by immediate physical action. The character's measured delivery gives the surrounding urgency something to push against.
