British actor born to Dame Maggie Smith and the late Robert Stephens. Career spanning Shakespeare on stage, the Bond villain Gustav Graves in Die Another Day, and a long BBC career in prestige drama. His role as Captain James Flint in Black Sails is widely considered his best television work.
