Sylvester Stallone

Sylvester Stallone plays Dwight Manfredi in Tulsa King. The role makes room for a quality sometimes overlooked in discussions of his action films: he can be very funny when a character is trying to maintain his dignity in an irritating situation.

Stallone wrote and starred in Rocky and went on to lead the Rambo films. His work also includes Cop Land, Creed and The Expendables. Those roles give him a long-established screen presence for Tulsa King to use, but the series works best when it lets him play the immediate conversation rather than simply trade on recognition.

Dwight's confidence is a good source of both authority and comedy. He expects other people to understand a set of rules that the world around him may no longer share.
