Simon Helberg

About Simon Helberg
Simon Helberg plays Howard Wolowitz in The Big Bang Theory. Howard's elaborate confidence, expressive face and commitment to a questionable outfit give Helberg plenty to work with. He can move from showing off to looking deeply wounded almost instantly, and his partnership with Kunal Nayyar supplies some of the sitcom's best small-scale squabbling.
Helberg's earlier television work includes MADtv and Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. He also played Moist in Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog and lent Howard's voice to Young Sheldon.
An accomplished pianist, he played accompanist Cosmé McMoon opposite Meryl Streep in Florence Foster Jenkins, earning a Golden Globe nomination. His films also include the Coen brothers' A Serious Man and Leos Carax's musical Annette. Those musical roles make an interesting companion to the quick physical comedy familiar from Howard.
