American screenwriter, showrunner and producer. Created the landmark FX crime drama The Shield, followed by The Chicago Code, Terriers, and the reboot of S.W.A.T.. Co-created Timeless for NBC. Developed The Night Agent for Netflix from Matthew Quirk's novel, resulting in his biggest commercial hit since The Shield.
