Polish film, television and stage actor who is one of the most recognisable leading men in contemporary Polish cinema, with credits in Róża, Jack Strong and the international series The Hot Zone: Anthrax. His turn as Soviet world champion Vasily Borgov in The Queen's Gambit introduced him to a wide English-speaking audience.
