Jesse C. Boyd

Jesse C. Boyd leads Day 5 as Jake, a man whose thoroughly unhealthy night awake gives him an accidental advantage when sleep becomes fatal. Boyd gives the premise a suitably scruffy lead. Jake is not a trained professional waiting for a catastrophe to demonstrate his skills; he has to keep moving while making sense of something nobody understands.

Boyd's other television credits include Frank Janderman in Mindhunter, a member of the Wolves in The Walking Dead and a Queen's Ranger in TURN: Washington's Spies. Day 5 gives him the central role, with exhaustion and uneasy humour doing as much work as the immediate physical danger.
