About Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt plays Lady Cornelia Locke in The English, an Englishwoman travelling through the American West in 1890. Cornelia arrives with determination, grief and considerably less practical experience than her journey requires. Blunt makes the contrast work: she can be formal and unexpectedly funny without making Cornelia seem oblivious to danger.

Her film career ranges from The Devil Wears Prada to Edge of Tomorrow, Sicario, A Quiet Place and Oppenheimer. The English gives her a different sort of lead, built around the growing understanding between Cornelia and Chaske Spencer's Eli Whipp. Their conversations are often more interesting than the next threat on the road.
