Andrea Savage

Andrea Savage plays Stacy Beale, an ATF agent, in Tulsa King. She gives her scenes with Dwight a briskness that helps the show move between crime drama and comedy without changing performers.

Savage is also a writer and producer. She created and starred in I'm Sorry, a comedy built around an adult who can recognise an awkward situation and still make it worse. Her other work includes Dog Bites Man, Step Brothers, Episodes and the role of Laura Montez in Veep.

That comic background is useful in Tulsa King, but Stacy is not simply a source of punchlines. Savage can make a response sound practical while leaving room for an irritation or complication underneath it. The best exchanges let her hold her own rhythm rather than merely react to the leading man.
