American actor best known for Sam Malone in Cheers, for which he won two Primetime Emmys and two Golden Globes. Played billionaire defendant Arthur Frobisher in the first season of Damages and returned in later seasons. Other major roles include Michael in The Good Place and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
