Sam Shepard

American playwright, actor, and screenwriter, winner of the 1979 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Buried Child. Oscar-nominated for The Right Stuff (1983) and a working character actor across a long film career, including Bloodline, where he played patriarch Robert Rayburn in the final major TV role before his death in 2017.
