Jeremy Strong plays Kendall Roy in Succession. Kendall's attempts at confidence often seem one interruption away from collapse. Strong makes that fragility uncomfortable without asking the audience to overlook the damage Kendall can do.

His film work includes The Big Short and The Trial of the Chicago 7. Succession earned him an Emmy for lead actor in a drama series, and his stage work includes An Enemy of the People.

The performance is particularly good at the gap between preparation and presence. Kendall can arrive with the vocabulary and manner he thinks a situation requires, yet still seem uncertain that he belongs there. Strong lets that uncertainty remain visible even when the character is trying hardest to conceal it.
